Learning Objectives

By the end of this course, you will be able to:

  • Describe the joint structure and demonstrate the movements of the following joints: elbow, radioulnar, radiocarpal,

  • Palpate and demonstrate the action of the primary elbow flexors and extensor,

  • Demonstrate the difference between the actions at the elbow and the radioulnar joints,

  • Identify the human variation factors that may impact weight bearing on the hands and teach modification and variations that would address these variations effectively,

  • Describe the pro’s and con’s of foundation variations (hands wide versus close, etc.),

  • Describe your relationship to your elbow, wrist, and hand and list three ways in which you may support the health of your arm and hands.
