Learning Objectives

By the end of Part 1, your students will be able to:

  • Describe the benefits of offering a retreat

  • Describe the difference retreat options: running solo, working for someone, and partnership opportunities

  • Describe best practices in terms of due diligence with deadlines, contracts, and cancellation policies

  • Describe how to create a basic retreat budget that they are running solo, accounting for typical retreat expenses as well as projected revenue

  • Describe three ways in which they could effectively market their retreat for success

  • Describe a realistic view of the work, time, and attention necessary to run a retreat

By the end of Part 2, your students will be able to:

  • Create a weekly content and class plan for a typical retreat format,

  • Write an evocative 200-300 word description of their proposed retreat that includes descriptive adjectives and goals for the experience

  • Describe five “extra love” strategies they can use to make running their retreat a success

  • Create a basic retreat budget that they are running solo, accounting for typical retreat expenses as well as projected revenue

  • Lead a presentation that outlines a proposal for working at selected retreat center, including their general information, budget, amenities, deadlines, and an assessment of retreat viability

  • What do I need to present these lessons?

    All anatomy lessons contain a visually rich presentation, so you will need a projector and computer to teach. I recommend a skeleton, though it's not required.
