FAQ

  • How much of the program is online?

This hybrid 300 hour yoga teacher training program blends asynchronous online course work with synchronous sessions to bring you the best of both worlds. You will do self-paced course work on your own, combined with livestream classes and monthly livestream meetings. About 2/3 the way through the program, we will all meet in-person for a week-long retreat so that you can learn your necessary in person skills. In this way, this 300 hour program balances flexibility with personalized attention. About 100 hours are asynchronous, 51 hours are in person, and 120 are live on Zoom.

  • How much time should I expect to work a week?

You can complete the program in 6 or 12 months. In the 12 month version, you complete the Anatomy Program separately from the Yoga Program to reduce your weekly workload. If you do the 6 month version, you will average 8.5 hours of course work and practice per week. If you do the 12 month version, the "yoga portion" of the training will be about 6.5 hours/week, while the anatomy portion will be 2-4 hours per week.

  • Is this 300 hour YTT registered with Yoga Alliance?

    Yes.

  • Is there an application process?

Though it is not required, potential trainees are welcome to meet with us via Zoom prior to the program start.

  • How is this program different from other programs?

In this 300 hour yoga teacher training, we focus on the excellence of your core teaching skills and your personal growth. Rather than offering several disparate speciality subjects or workshops, this program leads you to progressively deepen and integrate your foundational skills in cueing, sequencing, presence, applied anatomy, asana, pranayama, and meditation. We do explore more specialty subjects (mudra, chanting, philosophy, theming, yoga for immunity, yoga for special populations), but always with a view to enhancing your unique voice and presence. This program is designed to help you find and elevate your teaching voice and mission, so that you have a clear sense of your own purpose and passion as you move into the next part of your teaching journey.

  • Do I have to be good at asana to take this program?

In this program, we are far more interested in your ability to practice and teach fundamental poses with clarity, depth, and skill rather than do any "fancy" or esoteric postures. We believe yoga is for every body, which means that you will gain skills in teaching adaptive and inclusive yoga for all bodies and skill levels.

  • How much does it cost? Are there other fees?

The full price of the program is $4250 USD, however, you may get a great discount by signing up early. We do have a few books we want you to buy (total cost about $50) and you should keep in mind that your travel, food, and lodging costs for the in-person retreat are not included in your program costs, so you'll want to budget that in, too. Your student manual is included and will be given to you as a PDF.

  • Are there payment plans for the 300 hour?

Yes! We want this investment to work with your life and offer payment plans to help you budget effectively.

  • What is your refund policy?

An applicant who withdraws from the program before the Start Date is entitled to a refund of all monies except for a non-refundable deposit of $500. A trainee who withdraws from the course within 10 days from the start date may be refunded up to 75% of the full program price. After the first 10 days, there will be no refunds. If the applicant withdraws from the program for any reason, the applicant will be responsible for paying the full tuition, regardless of any partial payments that have been made to date. However, the trainee can elect to enroll in the next cohort, should one be offered, provided the start date of the next cohort is within one calendar year of the start date of the course from which they have withdrawn. You can see all our policies in our Syllabus.
